Residents of East Hills are primarily zoned for the Roslyn Union Free School District. The three elementary schools in the district are the Heights School, the East Hills School, and the Harbor Hills School – depending on the location of your home. Roslyn Middle School and Roslyn High School serve all members of the district.

The Park at East Hills is a tremendous facility that’s open to East Hills residents. The Park includes a 12,000 square foot pool, a 100 foot water park, and Italian tiled locker rooms. The Park’s 50-acre property also includes six tennis courts, two basketball courts, a senior-community center, a newly renovated auditorium, a nature-walking trail, a jogging trail, two playgrounds, a picnic area, a work out room, and sports fields.
The Park at East Hills has quickly become a central part of life in the community, and it’s a major contributing factor to the desirability of this suburban community.

Residents enjoy a number of great restaurants in the Village of Roslyn. Tom Kaufman profiles 5 great local steakhouses in his Simply North Shore article, each of which is a short drive from Roslyn. Likewise, DayAnn McManus profiles 5 local Poll Brothers restaurants in her Simply North Shore article, all of which are easily accessible by East Hills residents.
East Hills properties are well-maintained, and the homes consist primarily of center hall colonials, ranches, and expanded farm ranches. Over the last few years, many of the original homes have been renovated or torn down and rebuilt with larger homes and modern amenities.
To get a sense of the style and look of the community, I compiled a number of home portraits for you to see. Many of these portraits were originally published on Simply North Shore’s Instagram page – @simplynorthshore – along with a brief narrative about the home & the community.
